The first cards will be dealt to EAPT Grand Final X MPP players at the luxurious Merit Royal Diamond Casino Hotel on May 1st. Free satellites will begin at 18:00, the first days of the series will feature a $1,100 Mystery Bounty and evening turbos, the high rollers will kick off in the middle of the festival, and the combined series' main majors will be played towards the end.
Tournament buy-ins at the EAPT Grand Final X MPP range from zero to $50,000, so for your convenience, we have divided them into several categories: Low Stakes Majors (up to $1,100), Evening Turbo Tournaments, Main Events, High Roller Tournaments and Satellites. Let's take a look at each of these categories:
Low-stakes majors.
There are three events that fall into the category of relatively inexpensive major tournaments:
#1 Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty for $1,100 ($1M GTD) - The Mystery Bounty format is probably one of the most popular live tournament formats on the planet right now. At the May series in Cyprus, magical envelopes can be pulled out at the very beginning of the long festival journey: the first flyouts will take place on May 2nd and 3rd, and at noon on May 4th, all survivors will start the second (aka final) day of the tournament, where each knockout will be rewarded with an unknown prize. Word on the street is that the top knockout could go as high as $50,000!
#11 EAPT Cyprus for $1,100 ($500K GTD) - A year ago, an EAPT tournament with this kind of buy-in and guarantee would have been the biggest in the history of the series, but now it's just the final event in the "one of" category. The EAPT Cyprus will start on May 10th and is open to those who busted out of the second day of the Main Event but find it expensive to sit down with the high rollers for ten thousand. There will be 4 starting flights of 15-40 minutes each on May 10th and 11th and a final flight on May 12th.
#14 MPP Turbo Bounty 500 K.O. for $1,100 ($100K GTD) is the very last tournament of the combined festival. It will begin at noon on May 12th and the winner will be crowned that evening. The tournament itself will be played in a classic bounty format, with half of the buy-in immediately returned to the player for every opponent knocked out.
Main Events
The two main events in the series are responsible for the largest share of the total guaranteed prize pool:
- #3 EAPT Grand Final for $2,200 ($2M GTD) - the most expensive and massive EAPT main event, with the largest prize pool in the series' 10-year history. The $2 million total guarantee will be played out over four starting flights on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May and re-entries will be limited, with players allowed only one re-entry per flight. The tournament will reach the final table on May 7th and the best of the best will be crowned on May 8th.
- The #8 MPP Main Event ($5M GTD) for $5,300 is the most important main event of the combined festival. With the largest guarantee, four starting flights (8-9 May) and 50-60 minute levels, the MPP Main Event will be the icing on the May poker cake at the Merit Royal Diamond. As with the EAPT GF, re-entries are limited to one per flight. And for those who find it too expensive to buy into a $5,000 tournament directly, the MPP Main Event has an extensive satellite grid. With a bit of luck, you could qualify for $0!
Satellites to the MPP Main Event:
MPP Main Event is your one and only low-cost qualifier.
Satellites for this event will begin on May 1st: at 18:00 the freebuy will begin with a guarantee of 20 tickets at $660 for the Mega Satellite. The Mega Satellite itself is scheduled for 21:00 the same day and will have a minimum of 50 seats at $5,300 each. This is truly a Mega Satellite as other qualifiers guarantee 5 or 10 seats to the MPP Main Event. Check out the full satellite schedule for the Main Event:

All satellites starting on or after May 4th will use a "300,000 chip ticket" system. This means that each satellite participant must turn their starting stack of 30,000 chips into 300,000 chips and will immediately receive a ticket to the MPP Main Event. With this system, there's no need to outlast your opponents and stall for time: the sooner you get over 300K in chips, the sooner you can do whatever you want.
High Roller Tournaments
Just a couple weeks before the start of the EAPT X MPP, expensive and very expensive tournaments have been added to the schedule. It's understandable: the Triton Series will start in Budva, Montenegro on May 12th, so many high rollers will probably be keen to make a trip to Cyprus, as it's only a 4-hour flight from Larnaca to Podgorica (including a stopover in Belgrade).
The parade of high roller tournaments will be opened by a two-day $10,400 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and a $10,400 Hold'em tournament for the same buy-in that will be held at the end of the series. In between, there are two "twenty-five thousand" and one "fifty thousand" tournaments. And to attract attention in all the high roller events we announced good guarantees and opened unlimited re-entries:
- #5 MPP Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller for $10,400 ($500K GTD) / May 5-6, 40 minute levels;
- #7 MPP Super High Roller for $25,500 ($1M GTD) / May 6-7, 40 minute levels;
- #9 MPP Super High Roller for $25,500 ($1M GTD) / May 7-8, 40 minute levels;
- #10 MPP Super High Roller for $51,000 ($1M GTD) / May 8-9, 40 minute levels;
- #12 MPP High Roller for $10,400 ($1M GTD) / May 10-11, 40-minute levels;
Also on May 11, there will be a one-day $10K High Roller in a 6-max format with faster levels and a smaller guarantee. Perfect for those who are not getting the hang of it:
- #13 MPP 6-Max High Roller One Day ($500K GTD) / May 11, 30 minute levels;
Evening Turbo Tournaments
What series would be complete without evening tournaments with a fast structure, small fields and good guaranteed prize money? None at all. Right at the start of the EAPT X MPP there will be a couple of partner evening events with some very solid guarantees for small buy-ins.
#2 Joker $400 K.O. by Imperium for $880 ($100K GTD) - This affordable knockout tournament starts at 22:00 on the 2nd of May, but the 20 and 15 minute levels won't take long to play. Unlimited re-entries and a $400 bounty for each opponent included;
#4 Superfinalist (FT ITM) by OPE for $1,650 ($200K GTD) - With 30-minute levels, it's a bit awkward to classify this tournament as an "evening turbo" event. It's also a two-day event: May 4 will be played down to the final table and May 5 will be played down to the champion;
#6th Big Knockout $1,000 by Honor Poker for $2,200 ($200K GTD) - This tournament will be played in one day, starting at 20:00 on May 5th. Each knockout will be worth $1,000 and the organizers promise to finish play by 6am.
