EA Poker Tour 2025: Year in Review

22 Dec 2025

The year 2025 was a truly dynamic and large-scale season for the EA Poker Tour. Over the course of the year, the series hosted five full-fledged festivals — in Cyprus, Milan, Armenia, and twice in Georgia — bringing together thousands of players from around the world and firmly establishing its reputation as one of the most accessible yet large live poker tours in the European region.

The tour expanded its geography, consistently surpassed its guarantees, and sold out venues — EAPT spent the year running at full speed.

Cyprus

EAPT Cyprus 2025 took place at the luxurious Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & SPA as part of the major Mediterranean Poker Party festival. From May 3 to 13, hundreds of players competed for a share of the $10,000,000 total prize pool, with $500,000 guaranteed specifically for the EAPT event.

This stop was the series’ first held in partnership with PokerOK — the GGPoker network’s largest poker room in the world. Interestingly, the PokerOK room head won the Luxon Pay Grand Final (Luxon Pay has been an EAPT partner for the past three years), while PokerOK ambassador Gia Skhulukhia claimed victory in the EAPT Cyprus Main Event.

Milan

The Milan stop proved that EAPT continues to feel right at home across Europe. The series in Italy’s fashion capital ran from November 25 to December 8, attracting players from 15 countries — including Argentina, Romania, Greece, Morocco, China, and Russia. Eight championship trophies were awarded in tournaments with buy-ins ranging from €50 to €770.

Accessible multi-phase tournaments and deep structures did their job — the Main Event drew over 1,300 entries, becoming one of the largest in EAPT’s European history. The champion, Italy’s Marco Bognani, took home the iconic EAPT trophy and a €54,365 prize. The Milan festival stood out for its strong turnout, live-streamed coverage, and once again proved that the EAPT format thrives well beyond post-Soviet regions.

Yerevan

Armenia was the major debut of the season, instantly joining the ranks of EAPT’s strong, well-established stops. EAPT Armenia was held from December 5 to 14, featuring 30 tournaments with a declared guarantee of over $600,000. By the end, expectations were crushed — the total prize pool exceeded $1,000,000.

The $600 Main Event (guaranteed at $200,000) gathered 666 entries and generated more than $300,000 in prizes for that event alone. The champion, Evgeny Ilin, took home $53,700 — his first EAPT trophy and the largest win of his career.

Batumi

But Georgia became the tour’s main hot spot in 2025. EAPT visited Batumi twice, each time showcasing what players love most: affordable buy-ins, diverse formats, and a truly international field. The spring stop offered over $1,000,000 in total guarantees, highlighted by a $600 Main Event with $300,000 guaranteed.

With zero rake — meaning 100% of entries went into prize pools — the numbers were huge: $1,453,750 in total prizes, 600 unique players from 30 countries, and a record 811 Main Event entries for a non-grand final stop.

The autumn stop (September 30 to October 8) returned as one of the most important events of the year, featuring a total guarantee of $800,000 and a flagship $600 Main Event with a $300,000 guarantee, alongside strong side events.

This stop turned out to be the largest of the season, boasting record prize pools and player numbers. The Main Event champion’s payout was originally set at approximately $100,000 — the biggest first-place prize in regular-season EAPT history. In the end, the title went to Evgeniy Kim after a five-way deal, earning $68,000, his personal career high.

Partnership with PokerOK

One of the biggest factors behind EAPT’s growth and increased accessibility in 2025 was its new partnership with PokerOK. This collaboration brought two key advantages — a strong live brand presence at events and a convenient qualification system through online satellites.

Throughout the season, players could secure their seats in advance via PokerOK (and the GGPoker network) satellites, starting from micro-stakes. Step formats and final qualifiers provided a way to win entries without paying the full buy-in. For EAPT Georgia, complete player packages were awarded, covering main event entries, while the Armenian festival featured a satellite grid starting from just $0.10, with finals awarding $600 Main Event seats.

As a result, EAPT 2025 became not only a tour of impressive numbers but also one offering poker players an easy way to reach live festivals — straight from home through online qualification.

By the end of the year, the EA Poker Tour had solidified its position as one of the most vibrant and rapidly growing live poker series in the region. The geography expanded, numbers rose, records broke, and the tour’s popularity soared. If 2025 set the standard this high, next season promises to be even more ambitious.
